Algeria based local electronics and household powerhouse Spa Condor Electronics has selected INEOS Styrolution’s SAN (styrene acrylonitrile copolymer) material for several transparent applications in its new refrigerators to provide high-quality solutions to their customers. The material was chosen for its properties as well as its easy processability.

When Spa Condor Electronics sought a new material for trays, drawers and shelves in their new refrigerators, the company’s engineers were looking for a plastic that meets a long list of requirements including scratch resistance, resistance to chemicals, surface quality, transparency and dimensional stability. In addition, the material had to be easy to work with. Luran^® turned out to be the perfect fit, and because Luran is also used for healthcare applications, it complies with the strict EU and US food contact regulations.

In addition, Luran offers a good flowability, which makes it easy to work with and process.
