Guideline of return for industrial packaging material in Germany/ Verpackungsrichtlinie in Deutschland:
German Packaging Act – Information obligation/ Verpackungsgesetz in Deutschland – Informationspflichten
Applicable only for German based customers

The aim of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG) is, to protect global resources, to put the materials used for packaging into further use. Reasonable measures can be either the reuse of the packaging itself or the recycling of the material.

Based on the VerpackG, manufacturers and distributors of packaging and packaged goods have the obligation to take back and recycle packaging after use. The economic implementation of all such measures requires cooperation of all parties involved. The ultimate objective of the law can only be achieved if each of the involved parties does their part.

In order to meet those obligations under the VerpackG, solutions have been developed together with other companies in the chemical industry and the Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. ("VCI"). Below you will find important information guiding you to efficient disposal channels for all packaging, which are operated competently and responsibly.
