INEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, will offer an in-depth look into its innovative product portfolio and collaborative partnerships at Chinaplas 2016, the premiere international trade fair for plastics and rubber in Shanghai, China, April 25-28. Located at Hall N3, Booth F41, visitors will be able to experience firsthand how INEOS Styrolution helps customers across various industries, such as automotive, electronics, household, construction, healthcare and packaging to succeed through collaborative innovation.

"We're excited to have a presence at Chinaplas once again, with much to share in the way of new product innovations," said Steve Harrington, President Asia Pacific, INEOS Styrolution. "We look forward to engaging our customers at the show and demonstrating how our best-in-class products can help them gain a competitive edge in the marketplace."

Key points:

  • Built-in value to the construction sector: INEOS Styrolution will highlight its Luran® grades aimed at enhancing the performance of construction applications: Luran HH-120 Q530: a powdered alpha methyl styrene acrylonitrile (AMSAN) grade offering improved heat deflection temperature in PVC compounds; Luran S 757 G: an acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) grade with excellent flowability and easy processability, making it easy for thinner wall parts injection; Luran S 757 RE: an excellent replacement material for PVC with good weather ability, heat resistance and chemical resistance properties that are helpful for indoor and outdoor decoration; Luran S 777 K: a well-balanced ASA with good flowability and easy processability helping extruded sheet manufacturers to produce wider roofing.

  • Versatile polymer solutions for the healthcare segment: INEOS Styrolution will showcase IV tubes made of styrene-butadiene block copolymer resins (SBC/S-TPE) like Styrolux® and Styroflex®. These grades feature the right material properties for flexible applications like IV tubing, multi-lumen, and coextruded tubings. Their processability and high flowability as well as the excellent transparency make them a suitable material solution. In addition, a newly developed SBC grade intended for drip chambers will also be featured. This innovative material solution offers an outstanding bonding performance and excellent processability with highest quality standards. The excellent flow properties allow customers to use more cavities for injection molding and reduce cycle times.

  • Offering high aesthetic appeal and quality for the automotive industry: As a leading styrenic material solution provider, INEOS Styrolution will feature its Luran S 778T SPF30, which offers intrinsic properties, such as superior ultra-violet (UV) stability, dimensional strength, and impact and moisture resistance, offering automotive customers flexibility of design and premium aesthetic value. This Luran S grade offers a stable surface for precision foil application and adhesion. Unlike chrome plating, the use of hot stamp foil eliminates the need to mask the entire front grill. Without this surface property, it would have been impossible to precision apply the foil to achieve the desired diamond-like appearance.

    • Providing distinctive visual packaging options: INEOS Styrolution will illustrate its latest grades which combine the best attributes of clear plastic to produce a distinctive visual package: Styrolux: a styrene-butadiene block copolymer (SBC) grade offering excellent shrinkage rates, high clarity, print quality and better cost savings; NAS®  30 and Luran SAN W: premium choice for rigid applications with good chemical resistance, sparkling clarity, high stiffness, superior processability and compliant with FDA and EU food contact regulations.

    • The home of the future: INEOS Styrolution materials combine durability with aesthetically pleasing appearance for many household items. Supporting innovation in the household industry, Styrolution will showcase appliances suitable for food contact made of NAS, Zylar®, Clearblend®, Luran SAN C and Luran 386R, as well as fridge liners produced with Novodur® 595CP.

  • Styrenic enhancements for the electronics industry: Powering innovation in electronics, INEOS Styrolution will show outdoor communication device made of Luran S (ASA) and innovative LED applications utilizing NAS 30 (SMMA). Both materials provide significant value to this industry due to their excellent appearance and performance characteristics.

In addition, INEOS Styrolution executives will be on hand to discuss future business strategies, key industry trends and the outlook of the styrenics market.
